Wecap terms of use
Wecap is a skill-based fantasy cricket platform operated under the Public Gambling Act framework and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. These terms govern your use of the platform.
Who can use Wecap
Three conditions apply to every account.
- 118+
You must be at least 18 years old. KYC enforces age verification before the first deposit.
- 2Indian resident
You must be an Indian resident with a verified mobile number. Foreign numbers are gated until KYC review is complete.
- 3State eligibility
You must reside in a state where paid fantasy contests are open. The list lives at /is-legal/.
Acceptable use
The desk treats fair play as a hard rule.
What you can do
- Build multiple lineups for the same contest
- Run a private league with friends
- Refer friends through the official referral code
- Use the editorial column as one input among many
What you cannot do
- Multi-account to claim bonuses

How withdrawals work
Three rules govern every withdrawal request.
KYC must be cleared before any withdrawal request. The desk processes verifications within two hours during business hours.
The account holder name must match the PAN. Mismatches are flagged and held until corrected.
Withdrawals route back to the original deposit rail where possible. Cross-rail transfers require additional verification.

How disputes are resolved
Disputes follow a five-step resolution path. The desk publishes the path so readers know what to expect.
- 1In-app chat
First contact via in-app chat. The desk reads context from your account and routes to the right queue.
- 2Specialist desk
Escalation to a specialist desk (payments, KYC, contest engine) if the query needs deeper expertise.
- 3Compliance officer
Escalation to the compliance officer for PROG Act 2025 matters or state restrictions.
- 4Operator escalation
Escalation to the operator's named contact if the issue has not resolved at the compliance-officer level within 5 working days.
- 5External remedy
External remedy via the relevant consumer forum if internal escalation has not resolved the issue.
Reader questions about the Wecap terms of use
Reader questions sent to the desk in the last quarter, answered in editorial voice. Send yours via /contact/.
Can I transfer my Wecap account to another person?
No. Accounts are non-transferable. The verified mobile number, KYC documents and bank account must all belong to the same person. Sharing accounts across users is a violation of the terms.
What happens if I breach the terms?
The desk reviews breaches case by case. Minor breaches typically trigger a warning; serious breaches (multi-accounting, collusion, chargeback fraud) trigger suspension and reversal of related bonuses.
Can the terms change without notice?
Material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance. Routine clarifications (typo fixes, citation updates) ship without separate notice. The change log is published below.
What happens to my funds if Wecap suspends my account?
Funds from cleared, non-fraudulent contests remain withdrawable. Funds tied to reversed bonuses or chargebacks are reversed. The desk provides a written statement of any suspension decision.
Do the terms apply to the editorial column?
The terms apply to the operator's commercial function — the contest engine, KYC, deposits and withdrawals. The editorial column is published under editorial independence; the methodology colophon documents the boundary.
Which law governs the Wecap terms
The Wecap terms are governed by Indian law. The desk publishes the jurisdiction clause so readers know which court has authority in the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through internal escalation.
Indian law governs the terms: the Indian Contract Act, 1872; the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025; and the state-level gaming statutes referenced at /is-legal/. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at the operator's registered office.
The jurisdiction clause does not waive any statutory consumer rights. Readers retain access to the consumer forums under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, regardless of the jurisdiction clause.
How the desk announces material changes
Material changes to the terms (eligibility, payout rules, conduct) are announced at least 14 days in advance. Routine clarifications ship without separate notice.
Standard material change
Changes that affect the user's existing account or contracts. The desk notifies users via in-app banner and email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Payout rule change
Changes to payout rules (withdrawal limits, processing time, fees) require at least 30 days' notice. Users can withdraw under the existing rules during the notice period.
Routine clarifier
Typo fixes, citation updates, and renumbering ship without separate notice. The change log records every change.
How refunds work on Wecap
Refunds on Wecap follow three rules. Each rule applies to a specific scenario.
Cancelled contests
If a contest is cancelled before completion, the entry fee is refunded to the original payment rail. The refund typically posts within minutes.
Chargeback reversal
If a deposit is charged back, the related bonus funds are reversed. The entry fees for contests funded by the deposit remain valid.
Bonus reversal
If a bonus is reversed due to programme abuse (multi-accounting, bonus farming), the related withdrawals are also reversed.
What the Wecap terms cover
The terms of use cover six surfaces. Each surface has its own clause set.
Account eligibility
The terms cover who can use Wecap: age 18+, Indian resident, state eligibility, KYC verification. The full list of states is on /is-legal/.
Account conduct
The terms cover what users can and cannot do on the platform. Multi-accounting, collusion and automated scripts are prohibited.
Contest participation
The terms cover how contests work: entry, scoring, payouts, cancellation, refunds. The contest details screen lists the rules for each contest.
Payment rails
The terms cover deposits, withdrawals, fees and limits. The wallet menu shows the current limits.
Editorial column
The terms cover the editorial column as part of the product offering. Methodology and independence rules are documented in the methodology colophon.
Termination
The terms cover termination by the user (account deletion) and by the operator (suspension for breach). Each path has a documented procedure.
When these terms take effect
The current version of the terms takes effect on the publication date below. Previous versions are archived in the change log.
The current version of the Wecap terms of use is published on 22 July 2026. Material changes take effect 14 days after publication. Routine clarifications take effect immediately.
By using Wecap, you agree to the current version of the terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account at any time via the wallet menu. Account closure does not waive any rights you have under Indian law.
Acceptable use, in detail
The acceptable-use clause covers a wide range of conduct. The details are below.
- 1Single account
One account per person. Multi-accounting is a violation; the desk suspends affected accounts.
- 2No automation
Automated scripts that enter contests are prohibited. The contest engine refuses to run on emulators.
- 3No collusion
Coordinated play between users to manipulate outcomes is prohibited. The desk reviews contest patterns for collusion signals.
- 4No sharing
Sharing accounts across users is prohibited. The account holder is the registered KYC subject.
- 5Truthful information
KYC information must be truthful. False information triggers suspension and KYC reversal.
